This is a dramatic and scarce mint error from a year full of varieties. Graded MS63 RB by ANACS, this 1982 Large Date Bronze cent was struck through a late-stage capped die, creating that wild, distorted look across Lincoln's profile and the fields. You can see the soft, "mushy" details and the pressure flow from the worn-down die cap -- classic diagnostics for this type of error.

The reverse shows that rounded, slightly sunken strike you get when the die cap finally thins out. These errors don't appear often, especially certified and on the bronze composition.

A great pickup for error collectors, capped-die specialists, or anyone who loves unusual, eye-catching pieces straight from the minting process.
